More June 12 Awake! goodness...
by undercover inso... according to the wts, adam was created a little over 6,000 years ago.
after being created he was given the task of naming all the animals.
then eve was created, a talking snake got them to eat some fruit and the rest is history.... anyway.... how long did it take adam to name all the animals before the fairer sex was brought to him, undoubtedly distracting him from the heavenly chore set before him?.

I too see the irony in this paragraph; we’re supposed to be tickled pink the family eventually came around, but if the tables were turned no “true” witless would ever concede.
This reeks of a wash-towel spin cycle to me.
I would like to know if this is what actually happened; what “barrier” was there really?
Did the family come around to accepting him, or did he really have to lower his barrier instead?
Most non-witless people don’t actively practice shunning; did his family actually shun him?
Or
Did he chose to discontinue associating with them because the WTBT$ pushes the idea of disconnecting yourself from worldly friends and family who don’t accept the “good news” and, since they got a craw-full of wash-towel BS, they asked him to knock-it-off?

Advertisement on back of June Awake
by SweetBabyCheezits inhere are two uplifting quotes from the latest awake that show the happiness one might enjoy as a member of god's spirit-directed organization:.
the illustration on that page showed me that my progress is noticed by god.
this book made me realize that i can make my prayers more specific and ask god to help me with my feelings of worthlessness.

Maybe they should ask themselves why they are felling worthless in the first place.
The only time in my life I felt like a terrible sinner and worthless was because I thought I wasn't living up to the impossible "you can never do enough you rotten little slave" wash-towel mentality.
Once I realized they were full of shight, POOF!, the worthless feelings went away.

The cosmic struggle between the forces of good and evil
by Celestial inthe idea of a cosmic struggle between the forces of good and evil has prompted endless speculation by writers and philosophers throughout history.
there is a book, however, that contains the accurate history of the battle between god and the devil.
that book is the bible.

Razziel I concur.
When something is not a fact it's a theory, and you can prove anything by basing it on assumption.
This doesn’t mean a hypothesis cannot be proven, but until you have real evidence or proof, the theoretical remains hearsay and speculation.

Love or Faith?
by jbeau504 insee, there was a young girl who i met at the post-funeral house party my family held after my aunt passed.
she was already a regular pioneer.
an elder's daughter, third-gen-jw, but far more dedicated than i ever was.

Getting married young is not a bad thing, when it's the right thing; I was just trying to get you thinking.
Please take some time and don't let your infatuation entangle you.

I was going to mention the superiority complex these books create.
Kinda like, "HA HA I've got a secret boook and yooouuu dooon't, NIENER NIENER NIENER!"

Guilt Trips From Family
by EmptyInside inmy mother is the top queen when it comes to guilt trips.
she recently mentioned to me,seemingly casually,"now, your brother has a talk this sunday.
it would be so nice if you went with me to hear it.

Ah the guilt trip.
The only "trip" witlesses routinely take their kids on.

Funny story! I guess that settles it.
by BreathoftheIndianNose inso about 2 years ago i decided to put an end once and for all to the myth about jw's being a cult.
if i could prove it to myself that we weren't, i could prove it to those annoying people at the doors who say jws are a cult as well.
it was really hard to find a deffenition that proved that we weren't a cult.

A jw I Know Died
by TOTH inpoor old guy had a sudden heart attack and just died.
he was 70 and was never sick even once in the time that i knew him the past 6 or 7 years.
he was very active, ran a business, restored old cars, and was of course active in the jw ministry.

I feel for the man's widow and agree you should try to contact/help her.
She'll most likely refuse at first, all the local witlesses are probably love-bombing her right now (we know that in a few weeks, maybe months, that will stop and she'll be pushed to the curb), but keep in contact because sooner or later she will need help.
